1. Payments

We accept payment by invoice (email) for business clients, as well as cash, bank transfer or PayPal. Upon request, an invoice can be emailed shortly after the job is completed, serving as your official receipt..

2. Deposits

For larger jobs, or when materials are purchased on your behalf, a deposit is required before work begins. This is usually 50% of the labour cost.

3. Late Payment Fees

Invoices are due within 5 working days of the invoice date. A reminder will be sent on the final day before the invoice becomes overdue. Any overdue payments will incur a late payment fee of 5% per day until the balance is settled. Please ensure payment is made promptly to avoid additional charges.

5. Insurance

Our work is fully insured per person. This gives you peace of mind that you're protected in the rare event of damage or injury.

6. Disputes & Refunds

If you're unhappy with the work, please contact us immediately. If we agree that the work was completed poorly and without prior agreement, we will offer a fair resolution or refund. Claims made 14 days later after agreeing to the finished work are not eligible for a refund.

7. Photo Permissions

We may ask for your permission to take before and after photos of the work completed, which could be used for our portfolio or marketing. This will only be done with your consent.

8. Get a Free Quote

At Handy4London, we aim to make getting a quote as easy and transparent as possible. If you can provide all the necessary details about your job — including clear images — and the job is straightforward and not too large, we can send you a free, no-obligation quote directly via email. However, if you request a specialist visit through the quote form or are unable to provide images or sufficient information to accurately assess the job remotely, an on-site assessment will be necessary. In this case, there is a charge of £60 (1 hour specialist + VAT) to cover the cost of the visit and professional evaluation. This policy helps us respect both your time and ours by ensuring visits are scheduled only when truly needed. The assessment fee can be paid at the end of the visit, and if you proceed with the work, this charge will be cancelled. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
